About Matt

Matt DeFaveri grew up in the incredibly striking suburbs of Marietta, Georgia. Even though he was raised in a Jewish household, Matt surprisingly failed to learn the value of the dollar (apparently you’re supposed to save up several dollars over a long period of time). At age six, Matt and his older brother Jonathan received a “banking kit,” complete with a checkbook, calculator, and pad and paper with which to make more fruitless Hanukkah wish lists.

Abandoning a career in banking or numerology, Matt pursued his aspirations to become a writer. He wrote for his high school newspaper, The Greyhound Tracks, where his regular column What’s All the Hubbub, Bub? gripped the student body. Covering hard-hitting topics from strict dress codes to frivolous school clubs, Matt polished his ability to complain about and pick apart almost anything.

Matt continued his education at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts, where he is currently in his third year. Matt is also working on his first book titled This Is Not Profanity, slated to be a best-seller next quarter. Apart from his studies, Matt enjoys running, poker, jamming to Dave Matthews Band, and paying back his parents for raising him once he’s rich and famous.
